Taichung Aki-Masa Sports Foundation is dedicated to helping injured athletes to return to competition. We understand that injuries affect athletes not only physically, but also psychologically or even their career. Foundation's goal is to provide comprehensive support to ensure injured athletes can overcome various challenges and return to the competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first athlete that Tozan saiki project assisted was Long Jump player \u2013 Zhou Yi-Xin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zhou Yi-Xin is a High School 3rd Year student in Taichung. Thanks to her outstanding athletic abilities, Yi-Xin has achieved excellent results in various major competitions in past years. However, she has also been affected and limited by years of injuries. Not only has she been unable to break her personal best, but the pain in her foot has turned every jump into a source of fear. Therefore, Foundation has teamed up with Show-Chwan Memorial Hospital and Show Chwan Sports Medicine Center to re-evaluate Yi-Xin's injuries and plan subsequent treatment and rehabilitation. We hope that Yi-Xin could overcome her harass coming from her injury and continue to pursue her dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yi-Xin's Inquiry \u2013 Sinus Tarsi Syndrome<\/summary>\n

In Yi-Xin's sixth grade, she suffered a severe ankle eversion injury, causing significant swelling in the ankle joint. This resulted in instability of the lateral ankle bone in her right foot, leading to frequent abnormal pain in the calf and sole. These issues severely impacted her training. At that time, it typically took about a week after each competition for the pain and swelling to subside.During middle school, an MRI revealed an accessory navicular bone in her right ankle. It was determined that this extra bone was compressing surrounding muscles and nerves, causing frequent abnormal tension and pain in the ankle. Currently, she still experiences issues with the ankle joint frequently shifting forward, sometimes causing it to lock and resulting in pain.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n
